[RECAP] August {books, movies, music}

Hello, lovelies! 💪🏻 and holy mother: SEPTEMBER IS HERE! I REPEAT: SEPTEMBER IS HERE. What the hell and what is happening in this world. How come September is here when I still clearly remember my school closed down on March 16th and from then on, it was downhill.

But, August for me was a month of CHANGE. I resigned from the job where I’ve been part of for the last 4 years and decided to dive into another different field: customer support /le gasp.

But, let’s get back to the fun part of life and why you’re all here for 🙂

Books; 11 e-books & 2 paperbacks

  • THE VERY BEST OF AUGUST: After Felix by Lily Morton
  • THE VERY, VERY, VERY BAD: Grabbed by Susie Hawke
  • THE UNEXPECTED: Amusing You by Claire Cullen
  • THE LOVABLE: The Stopping Place by Lily Morton

Music } it was down the k-pop hole of the 2010s with a bit of japanese and english in the middle ><

  • U-KISS: Tick Tack, A Shared Dream (jpn), Neverland, Take Me Away, Obsession, Shut Up, 빙글빙글 (krn)
  • Teen Top: No More Perfume On You
  • BTOB: Irresistible Lips, Insane
  • DMTN: Safety Zone
  • ONEUS: To Be or Not To Be
  • The Weeknd: Blinding Lights
  • Taemin: 2KIDS

TV&Movies

  • Extreme Job (krn): People, this movie is the funniest movie I’ve watched in forever. I would recommend this movie with my eyes closed. I think I have watched it more than 10 times (I’m currently watching while I write this post)
  • Abominable (usa): The image, the visuals, the culture – I loved every aspect of this movie.
  • PAN (usa): The plot was very nice, the music too and I loved Hugh Jackman!
  • Pride and Prejudice (eng): I’ve watched this series a thousand time and every time I like it even more (tho some characters are terrible and infuriating)
  • The Murder of Laci Peterson (usa): This case is very sad but this documentary makes it look like a crime tv show. I really like the whole format of the documentary, very interesting, and gives an account of the police and lawyer side of this crime.
  • It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (krn): This Korean Drama is on Netflix and I would recommend it to everyone. It touches subjects that very little k-drama approaches and it does so wonderfully.

    {I also re-watched The Martian which as always, many applauses for the fantastic effects and Matt Damon and finished watching CSI Vegas Season 15}

How fun was your August? Best book you read, any tv show or movie recommendation?

  1. You’ve had a brilliant month! I never have the patience to sit and watch the Pride and Prejudice series, I always end up watching the movie with Keira Knightly and Matthew MacFadyen instead! 😂
