Hello, lovelies! ❂ In the spirit of blogging more often, I’ve created a “Book Tag Monday” whereas the title states, every Monday I will be doing a different book tag. This one, in particular, I’ve never seen before. I found it while searching around in the orang-utan librarian blog, she had done this tag years ago, I think it very fun since everyone has a specific genre that they enjoy the most and I’m always curious as to what people find attractive in a genre so, here is mine! 😉
The Rules:
• Credit the creator Drew @ TheTattooedBookGeek
• Answer the questions.
• Tag as many people as you want.
What’s your favorite genre?
I’m very cliché because my favorite genre is romance in specific: regency romance (uh-la-la).

Who’s your favorite author from the genre?
The first author I read with this genre was Julia Quinn who is a queen in regency romance. I love all of her books and have re-read her Bridgertons Series a thousand times (I can recite it by memory!) but, if I have to pick ONLY ONE (even if it kills me) it would be Lisa Kleypas who I love with all my heart because her books are just to die for!

What is it about the genre that keeps pulling you back?
I think that within the regency romances, society is very enticing, from the spinsters to the ton and the rumors. I also think is a very glamorous society when it comes to the fashion aspect and general culture – not supporting the treatment of women who need to marry the richest or nobleman, but other than that, the genre provides a lot of attractiveness.

What’s the book that started your love for your favorite genre?
The first book I read was An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn – the 3rd book in the Bridgerton series. And boy oh boy, was I pleasantly surprised when I discover the book was in fact from a series! This is also a Cinderella retelling (in a way, just that Prince Charming has lots of siblings, an opinionated mother, and is not very gentlemen.)

If you had to recommend at least one book from your favorite genre to a non-reader/someone looking to start reading that genre, what book would you choose and why?
I have so many amazing recommendations but, if I have to pick one is Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. I have read this book so many times I can’t explain how marvelous and gorgeous it is. The story, the family, the friendship, this book is just to die for (any of Julia Quinn and the glorious A Duke in Shining Armor by Loretta Chase is also a must!)

Why do you read?
Why not? I believe that getting lost in a world you don’t know or falling in love with a character is something that everyone should experience.
I tag everyone who would like to do this tag, I am curious to see the different genres other bloggers enjoy the most!
