[BOOK TAG] Guilty Reader Book Tag

I have never done a book tag in my blog – I’m not a huge fan of them but this tag looked so fun. I was reading LauReads post and it looked so fun! I decided to do the tags and have some fun! ~

Have you ever re-gifted a book you’ve been given?

Nop, I have only been gifted 4 books in my life (I do most of the buying by myself to avoid people giving me books I don’t like): The Obsession by Nora Roberts (which I adore!), Shelter in Place also by Nora Roberts, Red Notice by Bill Browder and The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown (which holy mother still an amazing book years later!) I hold these books dear to my heart.

Have you ever said you’ve read a book when you haven’t?

No, if there is a book that I have even try to read but didn’t finish I say so. There is no reason to say you did when in fact, you didn’t – no point at all.

Have you ever borrowed a book and not returned it?

Oh my god yes, and it was totally without meaning to. Back in High School, we had to read 10 minutes in every class period. I went to the library and chose a random book – I have re-read this book a thousand times and is almost falling apart but I absolutely loved it. The first book that truly introduced me to romance – and Avon/Harlequin. When I went to return it – years later mind you – the library had closed and moved locations.

Have you ever read a series out of order?

Yes, but without realizing that it was a series. When I was a teenager I read An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn without knowing that it was a series – in fact, this is book 3 in the series of 8. I had to read all of the books and I loved all of them.

Have you ever spoiled a book for someone?

Maybe yes, but without meaning to do so. My reviews include spoilers – if you have read them you can tell so. They aren’t a ‘holy shit I spoiled the whole thing’ kind of a spoiler but I do like to describe characters and in there, maybe some spoilers are hiding.

Have you ever dog eared a book?

All the time! I love dog-earing a book and I don’t care what people think. Is better than bookmarks because they keep falling – I also do this when there’s a specific page I loved.

Have you ever told someone you don’t own a book when you do?

Not really, I have lied about the books I read but not about having one or the other one.

Have you ever told someone you haven’t read a book when you have?

Not specifically a book but a genre, when people ask what I read I say ‘history’ – because is what I’m studying in the university but not about a book.

Have you ever skipped a chapter or a section of a book?

YES! Anna and the French Kiss was so dreadful I had to skip almost all the chapters from the middle of the book – just because back then I could not DNF a book even if it sucked. Currently am sitting on my donation shelf waiting for a new home.

Have you ever bad-mouthed a book you actually liked?

Not bad mouthed but I have changed how I feel about certain books years later. For example, Twilight was good as a teenager but now I would not be caught dead with it. Same with ACOTAR and the first book – I loved Tamlin (don’t ask me why I don’t even remember) but then I hated him.
